What a week we’ve had! This year’s GRC conference on Silk Proteins and the Transition to Biotechnologies at Bryant University has come to an end and we are heading back to Europe with lots of inspiration and ideas for future projects and collaborations. Elin Karlsson, Ph.D, Sarah Stadlmayr and Benjamin Schmuck gave excellent talks and Tobias Fietze,Tomás Bohn Pessatti and Karin Tufvesson showed their interesting work on posters. Sarah Stadlmayr and Gabriele Greco did an outstanding job organizing the first GRS for young researchers in the field. Thanks to Keiji Numata and Chris Holland for the flawless organization of the GRC and to all participants and speakers for a fantastic meeting. Keep an eye out for the 2027 conference, when I and Jan Rainey will be the chairs!
